The following courses make up the Shades Valley Academy of Finance:
1. Principles of Finance
2. Integrated Computer Technology/Entrepreneurship/Globalization
3. Accounting
4. Securities and Financial Principles
The students take field trips throughout the four-year program
First year–Federal Reserve and CNN
Third year–UAB School of Business
University of Alabama Culverhouse School of Commerce and Business
Fourth year–Local bank and local stock broker
